Creating and Using Rubrics

Facilitated by Beth Davila

October 26, 2016
10:00-11:00am
Collaborative Teaching and Learning Building (CTLB) – Room 110

This workshop will guide participants through the creation of several different styles of rubrics. We will begin the process by identifying instructors’ goals for their assignments and will work to adapt those goals into several different kinds of rubrics, ranging from analytic to holistic. Throughout the workshop, we will discuss the merits and controversies surrounding rubrics in general and types of rubrics more specifically.

Participants should bring a current assignment prompt to use as the basis for the rubrics they will be creating.
