Ari McGuirk joined the Center for Teaching & Learning as an Instructional Designer in September 2024. After serving an enlistment in the US Air Force, he earned BAs in English and Spanish from Penn State as well as an MFA in Creative Writing from UNM. Since 2016, he has taught English as a Foreign Language, Technical & Professional Communication, Test Prep, Creative Writing, Composition, and British Literature at the high school, community college, and university levels. He is especially interested in bilingual education. In addition to his work as an instructional designer and teacher, he is at work on a memoir manuscript, and his writing has been published in true magazine, Superstition Review, Streetlight Magazine, The Line Literary Review, and others. He lives in Albuquerque with his Boston Terrier, Albus.
