Golden Paw Reviewer FAQ
What is the role of a Golden Paw Reviewer?
As a peer reviewer, you’ll use UNM’s Online Learning Excellence Framework to thoughtfully review a colleague’s online course. Your role is to recognize and affirm the course’s strengths while also providing constructive feedback to help enhance the learning experience for students. This review process is intentionally collaborative, supportive, and encouraging—a chance for colleagues across disciplines and departments to share insights, celebrate effective practices, and offer guidance for continuous improvement in online teaching.
What is the time commitment?
The total time commitment per review is approximately 3–4 hours. You should plan to spend 1.5 to 2 hours reviewing the course using the Online Learning Excellence Framework, followed by 1.5 to 2 hours participating in the collaborative review meeting.
